Eclipse--Look Down
Eric
and Jane Ellingson who've "been there and done
that" suggest that you look down during the eclipse.
Shadows apparently change in interesting ways.
That
could result in unique videos without special filters or
critical setting changes.
NASA will be live-streaming

No Movie
Reminder that there will be no Wednesday movies at
the Ramada until mid-September.
Enhancement Enhances Once More
Thanks to EE's Enhancement team, new lounge chairs
have appeared at our pool. Replacement of the badly
discolored chairs was made possible with $2,000 from
Enhancement. The Enhancement Elves decorating services,
the EE Auction and annual Ramada Sales, and the EE Home
& Garden tour made this possible. Thanks to Barb
McCalpin and Tom Cooke for arranging this
transformation and to Kris Bean, Tom Cooke, Joe
McCalpin, Dave Sielken and Craig Surprise for
setting up the new chairs.
Fiber Arts Knittin' for Kittens
The Fiber Arts group is still meeting at 1 p.m. on
Thursdays this summer--sometimes indoors; and they're
ready to help you get started. Right now some members
are working on blankets for adoptees available at The
Animal League of Green Valley. It's an easy project to
learn on. (We have it on good authority that it took
Cynthia Surprise barely 2 years to finish her sock.)
Don't Go Kissing This Frog
Several Colorado River Toads have been spotted in EE,
and they aren't Prince Charming in disguise. While we're
sure none of our female residents will be deceived, your
curious dog may not be as clever. River frogs come out
of the ground during monsoons. They are slimy and toxic,
and may be lethal to dogs. If you suspect your dog
mouthed, licked or ingested a toad, rinse out your dog's
mouth immediately and call your veterinarian for
immediate life-saving advice.
